About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative Trainee for its Jumpstart Program. The nine-month program provides hands-on experience with the company’s sales process through classroom training, job shadowing, hands-on activities, and rotations across its lines of business. Trainees learn about the company’s products, services, and resources, with successful completion intended to prepare them for a career in sales. The role involves working indoors and outdoors as required and may require relocation upon successful completion of the program.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be open to relocation upon successful completion of the program.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must demonstrate accountability, time management, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
• Must meet service and performance requirements if already a team member.
• Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors when required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree plus one year of related experience.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service.
• Exposure to the construction industry.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.
• Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the nine-month Jumpstart sales training program.
• Learn the Sunbelt Rentals sales process, products, services, and sales-team resources.
• Rotate throughout the company’s lines of business to understand their offerings.
• Take part in classroom training, job shadowing, and hands-on activities.
• Meet physical demands that may include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
