About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative Trainee for its Jumpstart Program. The nine-month training course provides hands-on experience with all aspects of the company's sales process and products and services. Training combines classroom instruction, job shadowing, and hands-on activities, with rotations through Sunbelt Rentals' lines of business to build an understanding of their offerings. Successful completion prepares trainees for a career in sales.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be open to relocation upon successful completion of the program.
• Have a bachelor's degree, or an associate degree plus one year of related experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate accountability, time-management skills, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
• Current team members must meet service and performance requirements.
• Be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in sales or customer service.
• Exposure to the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language), depending on location needs.
