About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring an Outside Sales Representative Trainee for its Jumpstart Program. The nine-month training course provides hands-on experience across the Sunbelt Rentals sales process and its lines of business. Trainees learn about the company’s products, services, and resources through classroom training, job shadowing, and practical activities, while rotating throughout the business. Successful completion of the program prepares trainees for a career in sales. Applicants must be open to relocating after completing the program.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be open to relocation upon successful completion of the program.
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate accountability, time management, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
• Current team members must meet service and performance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an associate degree plus one year of related experience.
• Previous sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Construction industry exposure preferred, but not required.
• Negotiation and influencing skills are a plus.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a nine-month sales training program covering the Sunbelt Rentals sales process.
• Learn the company’s products, services, and sales resources through classroom instruction, job shadowing, and hands-on activities.
• Rotate through Sunbelt Rentals’ lines of business to understand their offerings.
