About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative Trainee for its Jumpstart Program. This nine-month training course provides hands-on experience across the company’s sales process, products, services, and business lines. Training combines classroom instruction, job shadowing, and practical activities, with rotations through the different lines of business. Successful completion prepares trainees for a career in sales. Trainees must be open to relocation after completing the program.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be open to relocation upon successful completion of the program.
• Have a bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree plus one year of related experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate accountability, time-management skills, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
• Meet service and performance requirements if a current team member.
• Be able to meet the role’s physical demands, including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in sales or customer service.
• Exposure to the construction industry.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.
• Bilingual ability; Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the nine-month Jumpstart sales training program.
