About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative Trainee for its Jumpstart Program. The nine-month training course provides hands-on experience with all aspects of the company’s sales process, including classroom training, job shadowing, and practical activities. Trainees learn about the company’s products, services, and sales resources, and rotate through its lines of business to understand their offerings. Successful completion is intended to prepare trainees for a career in sales.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be open to relocation upon successful completion of the program.
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate accountability, time-management skills, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location needs.
• Be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors when required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree plus one year of related experience.
• Previous sales or customer service experience.
• Exposure to the construction industry.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the nine-month Jumpstart Program and its classroom training, job shadowing, and hands-on activities.
• Learn the Sunbelt Rentals sales process, products, services, and resources available to the sales team.
• Rotate through the company’s lines of business to learn their offerings.
• Meet service and performance requirements if already a team member.
