About The Position

Outside Operations Staff provide critical service to members and guests and are usually the first Club representatives they meet upon arrival. The role supports members, guests, and PGA TOUR players throughout their golf experience, including golf car and bag services, practice facility upkeep, and assistance upon departure. The position is active and performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Shifts are scheduled as necessary based on business levels. Travel is not expected, and the position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Previous customer-service experience, preferably in a country club or equivalent setting.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift, pull, or push up to or over 25 pounds and move or lift items with awkward weights.
Required vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to comply with applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist PGA TOUR players, members, and guests with their golfing needs to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Greet and welcome members and guests.
At opening, move golf cars from the golf car facility to the bag staging area.
Remove golf bags from members’ and guests’ vehicles and load them onto golf cars; drive golf cars to the staging area where applicable.
Provide members and guests with useful course information, such as explaining that sprinkler-head yardage markers are measured to the middle of the green.
Provide clean, operating golf cars stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot repair material.
Drive used golf cars to the washing area, wash and wipe them down, and restock them with supplies.
At closing, return golf cars to the facility and connect them to battery chargers.
Keep the Golf Car Facility clean and orderly.
Perform periodic golf car maintenance and minor repairs, and update service records.
Service the practice facility by operating the picker to collect golf balls, setting up the facility, and replenishing practice balls.
Patrol the practice tee by golf cart to collect trash and practice golf ball bags, and rotate the practice facility area according to the tee maintenance program.
Collect, clean, and bag balls at the end of play; remove damaged balls to keep the range-ball supply in excellent condition.
Assist members and guests as they depart by ensuring their clubs are cleaned and carried to and placed in their vehicles by a staff member.
Work with Golf Shop staff to ensure members and guests follow club rules, including dress code and beverage policy.
Ensure members and guests do not carry clubs to or from the practice facility or in parking lot or clubhouse areas.
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
