Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator
About The Position
Fourth Street Clinic is hiring a full-time Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator to help patients and community members navigate healthcare coverage. The role provides guidance with Medicaid and Marketplace applications and maintains accurate insurance information in the clinic’s EMR system. The coordinator works with front desk and billing teams, community partners, and patients to improve access to healthcare through compassionate, patient-centered support. The position also includes in-clinic and outreach services, enrollment initiatives, payment processing, patient education, referrals, and tracking enrollment data for compliance and reporting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

- Prior experience with Medicaid and Marketplace applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one assistance with Medicaid and Marketplace applications for patients and community members.
- Collaborate with community partners to enroll individuals in available insurance programs.
- Collect co-payments and past balances, and generate Good Faith Estimates according to sliding fee schedules.
- Manage the front-end cash drawer and accurately document payments received.
- Maintain current knowledge of eligibility criteria and insurance restrictions.
- Participate in in-clinic and outreach services, including open enrollment initiatives.
- Collect and track outreach and enrollment data for grant compliance, reporting, and outcome-driven projects.
- Educate patients and families about public program eligibility, benefits, and the importance of health coverage.
- Refer patients to clinic services and community resources to support their well-being.
- Provide information in a fair, accurate, culturally sensitive, and impartial manner.
