About The Position

Fourth Street Clinic is seeking a full-time Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator to help patients and community members navigate healthcare coverage. The role provides guidance with Medicaid and Marketplace applications and maintains accurate insurance information in the clinic’s EMR system. The coordinator works with front desk and billing teams to offer compassionate, patient-centered support and improve access to healthcare.

The position also involves outreach and enrollment services, including open enrollment initiatives, and collaboration with community partners. The coordinator educates patients and families about public program eligibility and benefits, provides referrals to clinic and community resources, and delivers information fairly, accurately, impartially, and with cultural sensitivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two or more years of customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EMR systems.
• Spanish-speaking abilities.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Prior experience with Medicaid and Marketplace applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one application assistance for Medicaid and Marketplace programs to patients and community members.
• Collaborate with community partners to enroll individuals in available insurance programs.
• Collect co-payments and past balances, and generate Good Faith Estimates according to sliding fee schedules.
• Manage the front-end cash drawer and accurately document payments received.
• Maintain current knowledge of eligibility criteria and insurance restrictions.
• Participate in in-clinic and outreach services, including open enrollment initiatives.
• Collect and track outreach and enrollment data for grant compliance, reporting, and outcome-driven projects.
• Educate patients and families about public program eligibility, benefits, and the importance of health coverage.
• Refer patients to clinic services and community resources to support their well-being.
• Deliver information fairly, accurately, impartially, and in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Maintain accurate insurance information in the EMR system.
