About The Position

The Outlet Support Associate assists with merchandising and maintaining the Outlet showroom. The role includes moving products tagged “Sold” to the clearance customer pick-up location and restocking the Outlet with pre-priced furniture. This position helps ensure the success of CITY HOME’s Outlet Clearance showroom. The associate loads products into customers’ vehicles using appropriate material-handling equipment and safe loading techniques. They also perform basic furniture assembly and adjustments, help maintain a clean showroom and product-staging area, and work with sales staff, distribution center personnel, and customers to improve customer satisfaction and outlet processes.

Requirements

High-school diploma or GED.
Basic knowledge and use of tools.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to lift more than 75 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, and remain on one’s feet for long periods.
Must not be afraid of heights.
Able to work a 5-day, 40-hour week that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Operations experience in a similar environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Load products into customers’ vehicles using proper material-handling equipment and safe loading techniques to prevent damage and secure loads.
Install and tighten hardware; adjust doors; install sofa legs; attach mirrors to dressers; fasten tops to bases on China cabinets and entertainment units; and install shelves where applicable.
Assist with cleaning the Outlet and product-staging area.
Keep floors clear of debris, dust, stickers, and labels; vacuum Outlet carpets daily.
Follow assigned Standard Work and the responsibilities established for the role.
Maintain positive interactions with Sales staff, Distribution Center personnel, and customers.
Participate with the team in efforts to improve customer satisfaction.
Offer ideas and suggestions to improve Outlet systems and processes.
Assist with merchandising and maintenance of the Outlet showroom, move products tagged “Sold” to the clearance customer pick-up location, and restock the Outlet with pre-priced furniture.
