Outlet Selling Team Associate, Full Time - Serramonte Center
About The Position
Bloomingdale’s is seeking an Outlet Team Member to drive sales and profit through customer engagement and merchandising efficiency. The role provides friendly, efficient, and helpful customer service, supports customer needs, and helps ensure customers feel valued. It also supports store operations through pricing, merchandise handling, stock processing, stockroom organization, and floor recovery. The position includes assisting customers on the selling floor, at checkout, and in fitting rooms; completing point-of-sale transactions; maintaining a clean and easy-to-shop environment; preparing and recovering merchandise; and protecting company assets by following operational procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, use color vision, and climb ladders as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and genuine customer service on the selling floor, at checkout, and in the fitting room.
- Complete register transactions, including sales, returns, and payments, and count cash accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and easy-to-shop environment.
- Help ensure merchandise is floor-ready, tagged, and ticketed; recover the selling floor by folding, straightening, and sizing merchandise to standard.
- Protect company assets and follow operational procedures.
- Support store operating efficiency through tasks such as pricing, merchandise handling, stock processing, and stockroom organization.
