About The Position
The Outlet Team Member’s primary responsibility is to drive sales and profit through customer engagement and merchandising efficiency. The role provides friendly, efficient, and helpful customer service, sells merchandise, and helps customers feel valued. It also supports store operating efficiency through pricing, merchandise handling, stock processing, stockroom organization, and floor recovery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing and walking, occasional reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders, and frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, genuine customer service on the selling floor, at checkout, and in the fitting room.
- Perform point-of-sale transactions, including sales, returns, and payments, and count cash efficiently and accurately.
- Help maintain a clean, neat, easy-to-shop environment.
- Help ensure merchandise is floor-ready, tagged, and ticketed.
- Recover the selling floor by folding, straightening, and sizing merchandise to standard.
- Protect company assets and follow operational procedures.
