About The Position
The Key Holder’s primary responsibility is to drive sales and profit by supporting customer engagement and merchandising efficiency. The role provides outstanding, friendly, efficient, and helpful customer service, sells merchandise, and serves customers’ needs so they feel valued. The Key Holder also supports store operating efficiency through pricing, merchandise handling, stock processing, stockroom organization, and floor recovery. When needed, the Key Holder assists the Outlet leadership team by ensuring opening and closing standards and procedures are followed and providing supplemental oversight and supervision when other store leaders are physically absent.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, distinguish colors, and climb ladders as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, genuine customer service on the selling floor, at checkout, and in fitting rooms.
- Perform point-of-sale transactions, including sales, returns, payments, and accurate cash counting.
- Process merchandise so items are floor-ready, tagged, and ticketed.
- Complete price changes, damages and salvages, and job outs.
- Support the receipt and dispatch of merchandise according to standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe selling-floor, receiving, and stockroom spaces.
- Protect company assets and follow operational procedures.
- Assist with store opening and closing standards and procedures, and provide supplemental oversight when required.
