About The Position
Kiva Sales and Service (KSS), the distribution arm of Kiva Confections, provides sales and service support for Kiva and other high-quality cannabis brands in California. The Order Fulfillment Specialist pulls and prepares inventory to fulfill retail account orders, while helping maintain accurate inventory and an organized warehouse. The role operates in a fast-paced environment and collaborates with others to support changing priorities. Work hours are usually Monday through Friday from noon to 8:30 p.m.; some extended and weekend hours may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and safety rules, including equipment operation and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Good physical stamina and endurance, including the ability to lift, carry, load, and unload up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to push and pull heavy loads, rolling carts, and manual pallet jacks; stand and walk on concrete floors for most of the shift; and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and squat as needed.
- Ability to climb stairs and safety ladders and comfort working at heights and with machinery such as order pickers, forklifts, and turrets.
- Ability to work in a busy warehouse with frequent interruptions, loud noises, and variable temperatures, including cold storage rooms.
- Must practice proper ergonomics and safe lifting techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Previous order fulfillment experience is highly preferred.
- Forklift Operator Certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory processes in Encompass to ensure accuracy.
- Pull, pack, and palletize finished goods for shipment to accounts.
- Receive and log incoming items.
- Unload delivery trucks and verify inbound deliveries against purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Maintain and operate a pallet jack and forklift.
- Help coordinate and track the movement of goods through METRC.
