About The Position

The Dietary Aide supports daily operations at a skilled nursing and assisted living community by helping ensure residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean and welcoming dining environment. The role serves meals that are palatable and appealing, assists with timely meal service and setup, follows portion-control procedures, and completes scheduled cleaning duties. The position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work at a fast pace.

Requirements

Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 25 pounds to a height of at least 5 feet, and push, pull, move, and/or carry that weight at least 50 feet.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work at a fast pace while paying close attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must hold a Food Handlers certificate.

Responsibilities

Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
Serve food in accordance with established portion-control procedures.
Assist with daily scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room.
