About The Position

Wendell Foster is interested in hiring energetic Registered Behavior Tech (RBT) for our Intermediate Care Facility to join the team of #DifferenceMakers! This position offers a Mid Shift schedule (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM) Monday-Friday, with overtime availability. The role involves supporting individuals' direct care needs, assessing behavioral programming needs, implementing programs, conducting staff training, and serving as a consultant on behavior techniques. The RBT will also participate in team meetings, collect and graph behavioral data, and attend various committees and departmental meetings. A minimum of 5% of total hours will be spent providing behavior supports under clinical supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Registered Behavior Tech certification, or ability to obtain certificate within three months of employment.
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in the care of individuals with multiple physical handicaps or challenging behaviors, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of above requirements.

  • Associate’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess individual behavioral programming needs as instructed by Behavior Analyst.
  • Implement appropriate programs for service recipients as part of the individual’s support plan.
  • Conduct staff training in regard to behavior service policies, procedures, techniques, and programs and ongoing fidelity of implementation of programs.
  • Serve as a consultant to all departments regarding behavior techniques and strategies.
  • Serve as a member of the IDT and attend annuals and other special team meetings to provide input.
  • Provide weekly information to the behavioral team as it relates to service recipients behavior.
  • Collect, input and graph behavioral data on an ongoing basis.
  • Participate in various standing and ad hoc committees as appointed.
  • Attend in-services and workshops to maintain quality standards in the delivery of training services.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as designated by department needs.
  • Spend at least 5% of total hours providing behavior supports under clinical supervision as designated by licensing board.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
