About The Position

Twin Lakes Rehab and Nursing Center is hiring full-time Dietary Aides for morning and afternoon shifts at its Greensburg, Pennsylvania location. This position supports residents and care teams by preparing, setting up, and delivering meals and other food items according to menus, diet cards, and instructions from the manager or cook. The role also includes dishwashing, restocking supplies, cleaning work areas, responding to requests from nursing staff and residents, and assisting with food preparation as needed. The listed shift is 12:30 PM–8:30 PM, with schedules that include every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Requirements

High school education or high school equivalency diploma.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and/or deliver juice, applesauce, and pudding to the nurses’ station for medication passes at the appropriate times.
Set up resident meal trays according to specified diets, including napkins, placemats, silverware, glassware, and appropriate condiments.
Place appropriate hot and cold food items on residents’ trays at mealtimes according to the menu, diet cards, or direction from the manager or cook.
Prepare sandwiches, juices, and other special or meal items according to diet cards and place them on trays at mealtimes.
Prepare and/or deliver food items for the restorative program according to the posted policy.
Deliver meal trays to appropriate destinations on the nursing floor, retrieve trays at appropriate times, and collect trays and dishware from the floor before the end of the shift.
Break down trays, run items through the dish machine, put items away in appropriate places, and restock the machine with appropriate chemicals.
Empty trash after each meal, sweep, mop, and sanitize work areas according to checklists or supervisor or cook direction.
Accept phone calls and requests from nursing staff and residents appropriately and fulfill requests in a timely manner.
Assist the cook when needed.
Make authorized food substitutions.
Assist with food preparation for special meals, parties, and similar events.
