Order Fulfillment Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse and order-fulfillment activities, including picking merchandise from a pick list, moving items from the sales floor to a staging area, verifying merchandise with a handheld scanner, and operating equipment. The role supports BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The associate helps deliver friendly, efficient service to members, follows club policies and standard operating procedures, and contributes to a safe, clean, organized environment. The position requires meeting order-picking productivity standards and service-level agreements, communicating inventory or equipment issues, and assisting in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward objects over 50 pounds may need to be lifted or moved with assistance.
- Ability to move continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, and position oneself to examine or scan merchandise.

- Previous order-pulling experience.
- Big-box or wholesale retail experience.
- Previous RF scanner experience.
Responsibilities
- Pick merchandise from member order pick lists using a handheld RF scanner.
- Verify merchandise and update merchandise information or locations using the handheld scanner.
- Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
- Complete orders promptly and meet productivity expectations, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.
- Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
- Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized Ship from Club area, including removing trash and cardboard and maintaining order-storage bins.
- Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
- Process returns to the club and determine whether they should be handled through DDR or the Membership desk.
- Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
- Provide friendly service, address or escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
- Work collaboratively, maintain a positive attitude, and support club standards and operational goals.
- Attend work regularly and predictably; perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
