About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse and order-fulfillment activities, including pulling merchandise from pick lists, moving it from the sales floor to a staging area, verifying items with a handheld scanner, and operating equipment. The role supports BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Associates are expected to meet productivity and service-level requirements, follow established procedures, maintain an organized and safe work area, and provide friendly service to members.

Requirements

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• May need to lift and move heavy or awkward objects over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to work while moving about continuously on hard surfaces and to bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous order-pulling experience.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience.
• Previous RF scanner experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and use a handheld RF scanner to select orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Report inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise that needs replenishment to the appropriate club team members.
• Coordinate with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Complete orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow operational processes, productivity standards, and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous service; address and deescalate member concerns and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for members and team members.
• Work with the team to maintain GOLD member and club standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
