Order Fulfillment Associate Part Time
About The Position
BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Order Fulfillment Associate to perform general warehouse activities. This role involves pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving it to a staging area, using a handheld scanner to verify counts and update locations, and operating equipment. The Omni Experience Ambassador will also be involved in digital initiatives such as BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Team members are expected to carry out assigned functions, support club policies, strive for flawless execution, act with honesty and integrity, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, move with speed and agility, innovate and adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude. Members are to receive excellent service through all points of contact, have concerns resolved, and experience a safe and positive environment. This includes maintaining a clean and organized OMNI Space, proper bin storage, and regular cleaning of storage bins. Team members should understand how to access and read production/financial reporting and see the connection between execution and business impact.
Requirements
- Previous order pulling experience preferred.
- Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
- Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Processes member purchases by pulling merchandise from a pick list using a handheld scanner device (RF).
- Verifies merchandise counts and updates merchandise locations using the RF device.
- Moves merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
- Communicates inventory and/or equipment problems, including expired or short-dated items.
- Communicates with the club team when merchandise needs to be replenished.
- Works with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area to avoid sales floor replenishment.
- Ensures all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements and deadlines.
- Follows operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards, adhering to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
- Takes responsibility for individual performance and works with club leadership on performance metrics.
- Securely packages orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensures the SFC area is neat, clean, and organized.
- Performs general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
- Handles damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
- Processes returns to the club and determines how to handle them.
- Maintains all club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
- Meets OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance, which is an essential function of the job.
