Order Fulfillment Associate Part Time
About The Position
Responsible for general warehouse activities supporting BJ’s digital order fulfillment initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role involves pulling merchandise from pick lists, verifying items and counts with a handheld RF scanner, moving products from the sales floor to a staging area, and operating equipment. Associates package orders securely, meet productivity and service-level requirements, maintain an organized work area, and follow club policies and standard operating procedures. The position also supports member service, inventory communication, returns processing, housekeeping, and other departments as needed. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, collaborate respectfully, support a safe and inclusive environment, and deliver service excellence. The role requires regular, predictable, full attendance. Most of the work involves continuous movement on hard surfaces and may involve exposure to moving machinery, loud equipment, temperature extremes when pulling refrigerated orders, and occasional company-approved cleaning agents.
Requirements
- Previous order-pulling experience is preferred.
- Big-box or wholesale retail experience is preferred.
- Previous RF scanner experience is preferred.
- Ability to continuously move about on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop to examine or scan merchandise.
- Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; may need to lift and move heavier or awkward objects with assistance.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance.

Responsibilities
- Pull merchandise from pick lists using a handheld RF scanner and verify merchandise.
- Move picked merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
- Communicate inventory or equipment problems and identify expired or short-dated items on pick lists.
- Notify club teams when merchandise needs replenishment and coordinate pulling merchandise from the reserve area when possible.
- Pick orders in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements, deadlines, performance metrics, and service-level agreements.
- Follow operational efficiency, process, productivity, and standard operating procedure requirements for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
- Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
- Package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
- Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized, and remove trash and cardboard from the work area.
- Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
- Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
- Maintain club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
- Deliver service excellence, address and de-escalate member concerns, and help provide a safe and positive member experience.
- Maintain GOLD member and club standards, including greeting, anticipating, and appreciating members and keeping the OMNI space and storage bins clean and organized.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
