About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities and supports BJ’s digital order fulfillment initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role pulls merchandise from pick lists, verifies items and counts using a handheld RF scanner, moves orders from the sales floor to a staging area, and packages orders according to standard operating procedures. The associate works to meet productivity expectations and service-level deadlines while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

The position also includes handling inventory or equipment issues, communicating replenishment needs, processing returns, and managing damaged or spoiled products according to established procedures. The associate follows club policies and operational standards, provides friendly and responsive service to members, works collaboratively with the club team, and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Previous order-pulling experience is preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience is preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience is preferred.
• Must meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use a handheld RF scanner to pick orders and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales floor replenishment.
• Pick orders in a timely manner and meet productivity requirements, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.
• Follow operational processes and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them, including via DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
• Deliver service excellence, address and de-escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive member experience.
• Work collaboratively to meet club standards and perform other duties, including work in other departments, as assigned.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
