About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities and supports BJ’s digital fulfillment services, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role involves selecting merchandise from pick lists, verifying items and quantities with a handheld scanner, transporting orders to a staging area, and packaging them securely according to standard operating procedures. Associates work to meet fulfillment deadlines, service-level agreements, productivity standards, and performance goals while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

The position also includes communicating inventory, equipment, replenishment, and product-date concerns; handling damaged goods, spoiled products, and returns; and following club policies, procedures, and dress standards. Associates provide courteous service, contribute to a positive member experience, collaborate with club teams, and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Previous order-pulling experience preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and use a handheld RF scanner to select and verify orders.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
• Complete orders promptly to meet deadlines, service-level agreements, productivity standards, and individual performance goals.
• Follow operating processes and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team.
• Work with the team to retrieve merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how they should be handled, including through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress standards.
• Deliver courteous service, address or escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Work collaboratively, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and support club standards and goals.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
