Order Fulfillment Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities supporting BJ’s digital fulfillment initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role pulls merchandise from pick lists, verifies items and quantities with a handheld RF scanner, moves merchandise from the sales floor to a staging area, and operates equipment. Orders must be picked and packaged securely, accurately, and on time in accordance with standard operating procedures and productivity expectations. The associate helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe OMNI work area; handles returns, damaged goods, and spoiled products according to procedures; and communicates inventory, equipment, and replenishment issues to the appropriate team members. The role also requires adherence to club policies, service standards, attendance expectations, and performance metrics. Other duties may be assigned, including work in other departments. The stated schedule is any weekday between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., with open availability on weekends. The position is part-time. Work involves continuous movement on hard surfaces and frequent handling and scanning of merchandise, with exposure to moving machinery, loud equipment, occasional temperature extremes, and approved cleaning agents.
Requirements
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to continuously move about on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, and position oneself to examine or scan merchandise.
- Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward items may need to be moved with assistance.

Responsibilities
- Pull merchandise from pick lists and use a handheld RF scanner to select and verify orders.
- Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and update merchandise locations as needed.
- Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs.
- Coordinate with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
- Pick orders promptly to meet productivity requirements, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.
- Follow operational processes and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
- Package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
- Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized; remove trash and cardboard and handle damaged or spoiled products according to procedures.
- Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
- Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
- Work with club leadership on individual performance when metrics are not met.
- Support a safe, positive, inclusive, and service-oriented environment for members and coworkers.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
