About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse and digital order fulfillment activities, including picking merchandise from the sales floor, verifying items and counts with a handheld scanner, moving orders to a staging area, and operating equipment. The role supports BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Associates are expected to provide friendly, timely service, meet productivity and service-level requirements, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. They may also perform duties in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• May need to lift and move heavy or awkward objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous order-pulling experience.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience.
• Previous RF scanner experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and use an RF handheld scanner to select orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and communicate inventory, equipment, expired-item, or short-dated-item issues.
• Coordinate with club team members to replenish merchandise or retrieve it from the reserve area when possible.
• Pick orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow established operating procedures and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Package orders securely in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine whether to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
• Deliver friendly, courteous service, address or escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe, positive member experience.
• Work collaboratively to meet club standards and goals, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
