About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities for BJ’s Wholesale Club’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role pulls merchandise from pick lists, verifies items and counts with a handheld RF scanner, moves orders from the sales floor to a staging area, and packages orders securely according to standard operating procedures. The associate helps meet service-level agreements, productivity standards, and deadlines, and communicates inventory, equipment, expired-item, and replenishment issues to the appropriate team members.

The position also supports club operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe OMNI/SFC work area, handling damaged or spoiled goods and returns according to procedures, following club policies and dress standards, and assisting in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function. The role involves continuous movement on hard surfaces and frequent physical positioning and handling of merchandise, including lifting up to 50 pounds and, with assistance, potentially heavier or awkward objects. Work is generally in a comfortable environment but may involve moving machinery, loud equipment, temperature extremes when pulling refrigerated orders, and occasional exposure to approved cleaning agents.

Requirements

• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward items may need to be lifted or moved with assistance.
• Previous order-pulling experience preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists using a handheld RF scanner and verify merchandise and counts.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and update merchandise locations as required.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems and report expired or short-dated items on pick lists.
• Coordinate replenishment with club team members and, when possible, have merchandise pulled from reserve areas to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick all orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.
• Follow operational efficiency processes and established SOPs for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Work with club leadership on individual performance when required metrics are not met.
• Package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, organized, and aligned with club standards; clean and maintain storage bins and remove trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them via DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
• Deliver friendly, courteous service and address or escalate member concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and clean environment for members and team members.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
