About The Position
A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS), also known as an Optometric Assistant (Telehealth), is a key part of patient care and helps ensure each patient has a positive experience during a telehealth remote eye exam. The role requires knowledge of eye health and preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. The specialist guides patients through their Visionworks experience and helps meet their eye examination and eyewear needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with remote eye exam processes and serve as a liaison between patients and telemedicine remote physicians.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce the patient to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with relevant patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and share relevant information with associates so they can recommend appropriate products and services.
- Support daily store operations and exam-lane maintenance, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
