About The Position
A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS), also called an Optometric Assistant (Telehealth), is a key part of patient care during telemedicine remote eye exams. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable about eye health and preliminary testing, optics, Visionworks products and services, and managed vision care. They guide patients through their Visionworks experience and help ensure their eye exam and eyewear needs are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with remote eye exam processes and serve as a liaison between patients and telemedicine remote physicians.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce the patient to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with important patient information.
- Transition the patient from the doctor to the sales floor and share necessary information with associates so they can recommend products and services that meet the patient's eye care needs.
- Support daily store operations and exam-lane maintenance, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
