About The Position
A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS), also known as an Optometric Assistant (Telehealth), is a patient-care representative who supports patients throughout a telehealth remote eye exam and their eyewear experience. The role requires knowledge of eye health and preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. The specialist assists with the remote exam, coordinates between patients and telemedicine remote physicians, and helps ensure patients’ eye exam and eyewear needs are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with remote eye exam processes and act as a liaison between patients and telemedicine remote physicians.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce the patient to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with relevant patient information.
- Transition the patient from the doctor to the sales floor and provide associates with information to educate the patient and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
- Support daily store operations and exam-lane maintenance, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
