About The Position
A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS), also called an Optometric Assistant (Telehealth), supports patients throughout their remote eye exam and eyewear experience. The role is the face of patient care, helping ensure each patient’s needs are met in a simple, welcoming way. The specialist is trained in eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. This is a part-time position paying $16–$18.47 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with remote eye exam processes and serve as a liaison between patients and telemedicine remote physicians.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce the patient to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with important patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and provide associates with information to help recommend products and services suited to patients’ eye care needs.
- Support daily store operations and exam-lane maintenance, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
