About The Position

This role is responsible for guiding patients through the selection of frames and lenses, ensuring they meet prescription, lifestyle, and preference needs. The position involves explaining doctor recommendations, lens options, and proper eyewear care. Key responsibilities include processing and managing spectacle orders, verifying insurance, and coordinating dispensing. The role also requires performing fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs, as well as maintaining inventory and supporting efficient patient flow. Collaboration with providers and team members is essential for a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses that align with their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences
• Clearly explain doctor recommendations and lens options, including features and benefits
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
• Accurately enter and manage spectacle orders
• Verify insurance eligibility and calculate patient co-pays
• Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery
• Notify patients when orders are ready and coordinate dispensing
• Conduct follow-up outreach to ensure patient satisfaction and successful adaptation
• Perform fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
• Address and resolve patient concerns related to eyewear
• Maintain accurate inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies
• Create and maintain organized, visually appealing displays
• Support efficient patient flow and communicate delays when necessary
• Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure a seamless patient experience
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the practice
