About The Position

Gateway Services is hiring an Operations Team Member at West Coast Pet Memorial in Sacramento, California. The role supports compassionate pet aftercare by ensuring every pet entrusted to the company's care is treated with dignity, respect, and attention to detail. The position is on-site at a Gateway Care Center and involves hands-on operational work, including operating cremation equipment, preparing cremated remains, and creating memorial keepsakes. No previous industry experience is required; training is provided.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Compensation is $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience. The work is active and involves standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. The role may involve working around deceased pets and can be emotionally demanding. Team Members have access to Gateway CarePath, a confidential emotional wellness and resilience program designed for employees working in pet aftercare.

Responsibilities

• Operate cremation equipment according to established procedures.
• Process and package cremated remains accurately and carefully.
• Create memorial products, including paw prints and keepsakes.
• Perform quality checks to ensure each order is completed correctly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work with teammates to meet daily production goals.
