About The Position
The Operations Manager II at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implementing processes to optimize warehouse operations. The role leads and develops Supervisors and indirect reports, supports a safe and productive workplace, and contributes to the overall success of the organization. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities, employs more than 50,000 associates, and operates in over 150 million square feet of warehouse space. The organization describes its environment as business casual and focused on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement. The position has a national salary range of $72,000–$85,000; ranges are $75,000–$95,000 in California and $80,169–$95,000 in Washington.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, guide, and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports while fostering inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, standardized processes, and best practices to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Promote compliance with health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness.
- Compile reports on KPIs, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration among leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on Supervisor hiring, providing input and recommendations on candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
