About The Position
The Operations Manager II at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse activities. The role implements processes to optimize operations, leads the team, fosters a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to the overall success of the organization. It offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within DHL Supply Chain, a global contract logistics provider. The position is a third-shift role, working 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule of three days on followed by three days off. The organization describes its environment as business casual and focused on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, guide, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports, fostering a team culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, standardized processes, and best practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support informed decisions and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration through regular dialogue among leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on Supervisor hiring, providing input and recommendations to support selection of suitable candidates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
