About The Position

A growing stevedore and terminal operating company is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to direct and supervise labor throughout the terminal. The role coordinates with Operations on scheduling and pricing various terminal services, monitors truck queues and terminal traffic to meet safety and productivity standards, and helps resolve personnel issues. It also involves coordinating with internal Company departments and governmental agencies when required. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, drug-free environment and participate in an established safety program.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems, anticipate and avoid problems, and follow work through to completion.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to supervise and direct groups of unionized individuals.
• Ability to assume a leadership role and work independently.
• Good correspondence and computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn the in-house network.
• Ability to work an occasional holiday or weekend shift when required.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
