About The Position

The Operations Manager is a member of the CVS/pharmacy Store Management team. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, this role helps fulfill the company purpose of helping people on their path to better health by driving store execution and performance and building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. The Operations Manager maintains an engaged, productive store team through strong leadership, initiative, and leading by example.

The role supports the Store Manager in the overall leadership and strategic operation of a CVS/pharmacy store, including store management and policy implementation, sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, financial management, and customer service leadership. This position is not part of the CVS/pharmacy Retail Management Development Program, and Operations Managers are not eligible for direct promotion to Store Manager.

The role requires a full-time flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts, overtime as needed, and availability to respond to urgent store issues.

Requirements

• Deductive reasoning ability, advanced analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication, leadership, supervision, and influencing skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

• Experience as a retail manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Lead others and work effectively with store crews.
• Supervise, assign, and direct the activities of the store crew.
• Communicate information to store crew and supervisors openly and in a timely manner.
• Support the Store Manager with action plans for operational and service improvement.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
• Support the Store Manager in overall store management, supervision, and policy implementation.
• Support sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, financial management, and customer service leadership.
