About The Position

Mountain Waste is hiring an Operations Manager in Carbondale, Colorado. The role oversees daily driver operations, staffing and routing, field inspections, customer complaints, operational planning, budget performance, and compliance programs. The position works with the District Manager to develop short- and long-term goals and action plans.

Requirements

• Previous operations experience in the trash industry.
• At least 5 years of managing in a people-driven environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA guidelines.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to learn and use company-specific applications.
• Detail-oriented, highly accountable, and able to prioritize tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and execute safety goals.
• Monitor daily operations for drivers and make staffing and routing changes as necessary.
• Conduct field inspections and audits of site personnel to ensure proper work procedures.
• Receive and review customer complaints regarding collection programs.
• Formulate short- and long-term goals and action plans with the District Manager.
• Participate in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets, labor costs, and material costs are met.
• Oversee compliance programs, including environmental, DOT, OSHA, and local permitting.
