About The Position

The Operations Manager supports the store manager in running facility operations, achieving financial goals, ensuring compliance with company policies, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. The role leads community outreach and represents the company to community organizations while encouraging associates to participate in community programs and sustainability efforts. The manager supervises and develops hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, recognition, and feedback. The role promotes a workplace where associates feel a sense of belonging, sets clear expectations, and supports company values, ethics, and the Open Door Policy. Responsibilities also include monitoring safety, asset protection, quality assurance, and operational standards; reviewing profit and loss performance and controlling expenses; coordinating work with stakeholders; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. The position is based at the Walmart facility at 10250 S Main St, Archdale, North Carolina.

Requirements

Two years of college; or one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience; or two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience.
Attend and successfully complete all job-required training and assessments.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
General work experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Responsibilities

Initiate and participate in community outreach programs, build relationships with community members and groups, represent the company to external organizations, and promote company-sponsored programs and sustainability efforts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by holding associates accountable, reviewing reports, monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality standards, overseeing operational reviews, and implementing corrective action plans.
Hire, train, mentor, assign duties to, evaluate, and recognize hourly associates; set and communicate expectations; provide feedback; and support associate development and belonging.
Model and support customer service standards, resolve customer needs and complaints, and lead process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Assist the store manager in achieving sales and profit goals by reviewing profit and loss statements, controlling expenses, addressing financial performance deficiencies, and contributing to budget forecasting.
Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments, maintain stakeholder relationships, support business plans, communicate goals, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities.
Support company mission, values, ethics, and integrity by implementing action plans and applying company policies and processes, including the Open Door Policy.
Promote continuous learning, adaptability, collaboration, accountability, and effective use of new technologies and skills.
