About The Position

Complete Playground is a growing nonprofit where children of all abilities play, learn, and thrive. The Operations Manager runs the facility, leads the team, and grows programs. This is a hands-on role focused on leading staff, working with children and families, and ensuring programs and daily operations run smoothly.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing staff and operations in recreation, children’s programs, camps, hospitality, or a similar field.
• Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Friendly, outgoing, and great with children, families, and staff.
• Able to multitask and stay calm and organized when things get busy.
• Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated, with the ability to identify what needs to be done and take action.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children with special needs, including neurodiverse children.
• Nonprofit experience.
• Established relationships with NYC schools.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and ensure the facility is safe, clean, and running smoothly.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff.
• Lead the team during busy weekends, events, and peak days.
• Oversee and grow camps, classes, and school field trips, including scheduling, staffing, and enrollment.
• Reach out to schools, generate group bookings, and build long-term partnerships.
• Identify opportunities to increase enrollment, program participation, and revenue.
• Solve problems quickly and keep families and staff happy.
