About The Position
SAP America, Inc. is hiring multiple Operations Experts at its Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location under a hybrid work model. The role leads complex, cross-departmental and cross-unit projects and may serve as an in-house expert on business topics or specific technologies. It addresses business issues and advanced technical projects requiring state-of-the-art technical, industry, or business knowledge. The Operations Expert directs the design, planning, and implementation of business development and change programs, policies, processes, standards, procedures, and technologies. The role connects unit-level goals and execution plans to organization-wide and company goals, establishes operational models with internal and external stakeholders, and drives cross-unit initiatives. It also supports senior management with KPI monitoring and evaluation, provides senior-level communications, and develops team members through coaching, feedback, and training. The position develops and assesses continuous improvements to operational procedures, tools, processes, content, and performance. It acts as a trusted adviser applying expert and project-management knowledge, guides team members, and may take on a team lead role from time to time. A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, or a related field and seven years of relevant experience is required, or a master's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and five years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be accepted as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, or a related field and seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and five years of relevant experience.

- Five years of experience with cross-functional expertise and end-to-end process knowledge.
- Five years of experience providing transactional expert support for consumption/private cloud-based business models and systems.
- Five years of experience in Order to Invoice process design and documentation.
- Five years of experience driving simplification and standardization.
- Two years of experience with Finance and Administration processes, including Revenue Recognition (IFRS15 rules), Private Cloud delivery/fulfillment, pricing rules, cash collections, reporting, and controlling.
- Two years of experience collaboratively designing automated systems for diverse environments; managing processes through ERP systems with custom enhancements based on a consumption model; and project management using agile methodology.
- Two years of experience configuring internal program tools and archetypes for ad-hoc initiatives and on-demand projects that connect company demands with commercial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-departmental and cross-unit projects.
- Provide leadership, team development, coaching, and facilitation, and align team priorities with broader projects, programs, unit strategy, and SAP initiatives.
- Serve as an in-house expert on business topics or specific technologies and address complex business issues and technical projects.
- Direct the design, planning, and implementation of business development and change programs, policies, processes, standards, procedures, and technologies.
- Approve change-management initiatives and recommend enhancements to existing programs.
- Provide a neutral, holistic view of the organization, unit, or area and link its goals and execution plans to company-wide goals.
- Establish operational models within the business unit in alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive cross-unit initiatives in cooperation with stakeholders.
- Develop concepts and processes for continuous improvement of operational procedures, tools, processes, and content.
- Conduct assessments and reviews to contribute to improved process performance.
- Communicate with senior management and support monitoring and evaluation of KPIs.
- Guide the work and processes of other team members; provide feedback on skill development and training and serve as a role model.
- Take a team lead role from time to time.
