About The Position
SAP America, Inc. seeks multiple Operations Experts at its Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location. The role leads complex, cross-departmental and cross-unit projects and may serve as an in-house expert on business topics or technologies. It works on business issues and advanced technical projects requiring current technical, industry, or business expertise. The Operations Expert directs the design, planning, and implementation of business development and change programs, policies, processes, standards, procedures, or technologies. The role connects unit-level goals and execution plans with organization-wide objectives, establishes operational models with stakeholders, and drives cross-unit initiatives. It provides expert advice, supports continuous improvement and process reviews, communicates with senior management, and helps monitor and evaluate KPIs. The role also guides and develops colleagues and may serve as team lead from time to time. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, or a related field and seven years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields and five years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be accepted as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. Travel is not required. The role follows a hybrid work model.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, or a related field, plus seven years of experience in the offered job or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus five years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be accepted as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
- Five years of experience with cross-functional expertise and end-to-end process knowledge.
- Five years of experience providing transactional expert support specializing in consumption/private cloud-based business models and systems.
- Five years of experience with Order to Invoice process design and documentation.
- Five years of experience driving simplification and standardization.
- Two years of experience with Finance and Administration processes, including Revenue Recognition (IFRS15 rules), Private Cloud delivery/fulfillment, pricing rules, cash collections, reporting, and controlling.
- Two years of experience collaboratively designing automated systems for diverse environments; managing processes through ERP systems with custom enhancements based on a consumption model; and project management using agile methodology.
- Two years of experience configuring internal program tools and archetypes for ad-hoc initiatives and on-demand projects connecting company demands with commercial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex cross-departmental and cross-unit projects.
- Provide leadership, team development, coaching, and facilitation, and align team priorities with broader projects, programs, and SAP initiatives.
- Apply business or technology expertise to business issues and advanced technical projects.
- Direct the design, planning, and implementation of business development and change programs, policies, processes, standards, procedures, or technologies.
- Approve change management initiatives and recommend enhancements to existing programs.
- Provide a neutral, holistic view of the organization, unit, or area and connect local goals and execution plans with company goals.
- Establish operational models within the business unit in alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive cross-unit initiatives in cooperation with stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor and apply expert and project management knowledge.
- Develop concepts and processes for continuous improvement of operational procedures, tools, processes, and content.
- Conduct assessments and reviews to improve process performance.
- Communicate with senior management and support monitoring and evaluation of KPIs.
- Guide tasks and processes of other team members, provide feedback on development and training, and act as a role model.
- Take on a team lead role from time to time.
