About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory, shipments, daily tasks, and product merchandising to help create a positive customer experience. The role involves working collaboratively, providing customer-focused service, taking initiative, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, protecting people and assets, and learning the technology and retail systems needed for the job. Guitar Center’s mission is to nurture lifelong musicians and enable people to experience the joy of creating music.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
