About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling shipping and receiving, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great in-store experience. The role contributes to Guitar Center’s mission of nurturing lifelong musicians and helping people experience the joy of creating music. Successful associates collaborate effectively, focus on customer service, show initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, protect people and assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and retail systems needed for the job.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
