About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a positive store experience. The role calls for teamwork, customer focus, initiative, strong organization and attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems. Associates are expected to follow protocols and guidelines to help protect people and company assets.

This part-time position is at Store 614 in Columbus, Ohio. The listed pay range is $11.70–$17.55 per hour, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships.
• Customer-service skills and the ability to provide a positive customer experience.
• Initiative, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
