About The Position

The Operations Associate supports store operations at Guitar Center by handling shipping and receiving, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to create a positive customer experience. The role contributes to Guitar Center’s mission of nurturing lifelong musicians and creating an inclusive, customer-first environment.

Successful associates collaborate effectively, provide excellent customer service, take initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, protect people and assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and retail systems needed for the job.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of and help control shrink.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
