About The Position

Guitar Center’s Lessons Lead helps create a positive experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, answering questions, and giving tours of the Lessons facility. The role supports the lesson program’s growth, maintains lesson and rehearsal schedules, coordinates instructors’ teaching and non-teaching availability with student schedules, and helps ensure the facility’s systems are functioning properly. The Lessons Lead also communicates with parents and students, supports instructors, and maintains and increases curriculum sales.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or retail non-instruction.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal communication, organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lead, manage, and mentor others, including a geographically dispersed team.

Responsibilities

• Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
• Sell rehearsal space.
• Communicate with parents and students to ensure an overall positive experience.
• Provide guidance to instructors, their teaching and non-teaching schedules, and students by coordinating lesson schedules with instructor availability.
• Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
• Ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain lesson and rehearsal schedules for the facility.
• Assist customers with questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
• Lead, manage, and mentor others; provide positive and constructive feedback.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
