About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by shipping and receiving stock and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to create a great customer experience. The role contributes to Guitar Center’s mission of nurturing lifelong musicians and helping people experience the joy of creating music.

Successful associates collaborate and build effective working relationships, focus on delivering an excellent customer experience, take initiative, and manage priorities with strong organization and attention to detail. They learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs while following protocols and guidelines to protect people and assets.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
