About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to create a positive customer experience. The role involves collaboration with coworkers, customer service, initiative, organization, attention to detail, asset protection, and learning retail technology and systems. The work takes place in a loud environment for 5–8 hours and requires availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and connect with customers meaningfully.
• Ability to identify opportunities and issues, take initiative, and learn quickly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Ability to protect assets and people by learning and following protocols and guidelines.
• Ability to navigate and learn retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain shrink awareness and control.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
