About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling shipments and inventory, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great store experience. The role calls for collaboration, customer focus, initiative, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and equipment. Associates are expected to protect people and assets by following applicable protocols and guidelines. The position involves working in a loud environment for 5–8 hours and requires availability on weekends, holidays, and evenings, as well as the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
