About The Position

The Online Order Fulfillment team member performs general warehouse activities for BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role includes pulling merchandise from pick lists, verifying items with a handheld scanner, moving orders to staging, packaging orders securely, and keeping the fulfillment area clean and organized. The team member provides courteous service, follows club policies and standard operating procedures, meets productivity and service-level expectations, and works with club leadership and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward objects over 50 pounds may need to be lifted and moved with assistance.
• Ability to work while moving continuously on hard surfaces and to bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, and position oneself to examine or scan merchandise.

• Previous order-pulling experience.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience.
• Previous RF scanner experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and use a handheld RF scanner to select and verify orders.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Complete orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow operational efficiency processes and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how they should be handled, including through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, and dress code standards, and perform other duties or work in other departments as assigned.
• Provide friendly, courteous service; address and de-escalate member concerns and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for members and team members.
• Attend work regularly and predictably with full attendance.
