About The Position

This is a hands-on server hardware and break/fix role providing on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware. The engineer diagnoses, repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains server hardware in data center, field service, or customer-facing environments. Prior AI experience is not required; strong enterprise server and data center hardware experience is the priority. The role involves reactive break/fix work and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and diagnostics, and using server management tools such as Dell iDRAC or comparable platforms. The engineer works with customers and internal technical teams during service events, documents work and resolutions, escalates complex issues as appropriate, and participates in on-call rotations and extended coverage as required. The position may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology, so applicants should be eligible for any required U.S. Government authorizations.

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, data center hardware, or similar infrastructure.
  • Direct hands-on experience physically working on server hardware, including installing, removing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server components.
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing components such as memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, fans/cooling systems, PCIe components, or GPUs.
  • Experience working with rack-mounted enterprise servers in a data center, field service, or customer environment.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodology.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently diagnose hardware issues.
  • Comfort working independently in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and resolutions to customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., travel to customer sites, and support flexible/on-call schedules.
  • Eligibility for any required U.S. Government authorizations if access to export-controlled commodities or technology is required.
